NEXT STEPS

1) WORSHIP

Visit us on Sundays for worship.

2) COFFEE WITH PASTOR
If you just want one place to start your journey, the best place is Coffee with Pastor Eric Sahlberg. Whether you’re new to ConnectingPoint or have been around for a while, you’re invited!

It's an opportunity to hear from Pastor Eric, our lead pastor, not only about the story of ConnectingPoint, but also what we're hoping for today and where we're going down the road. It's also a great time for us to get to know you and for you to connect with others who might be at the same place you are.

So come and ask any questions you like! Contact Us to set up an appointment or call 508-596-1121.

3) MISSIONAL COMMUNITIES
Missional Communities are mid-sized groups people and serve as the primary place where Christian community is experienced. Meeting weekly or every other week participants gather in their borough to share a meal, meet their neighbors, grow in their faith, share the Gospel and make disciples. Each MC has a leader who helps organize the gatherings and ensure that things like pastoral care takes place when needed and that the community is truly being served.

Our Sunday morning worship is just a fraction of what is happening at ConnectingPoint. We encourage everyone to participate or lead a community. Visit our Communities area of the website to join a community.

4) BIBLE STUDY
Faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ (Romans 10:17). There is now way around it. Buy a Bible. Sit down. Read it. Reading the Bible is important for faith. Reading your Bible grows your relationship with God.

Think of it this way. Relationships require time and conversation. A relationship doesn't grow deeper unless there is ongoing conversation and listening. Christians engage in this conversation by reading their Bible and spending time in prayer.

You're invited to participate in our community gatherings to explore and grow your faith. Some options include:
  1. Meet with pastor and ask questions. We like your questions and welcome you to go on your own journey for the truth. Contact pastor Eric at 508-596-1121 to get started.
  2. Join a ConnectingPoint Community gathering in homes and public places throughout the week to study the Bible and serve our neighbors.
  3. Learn on your own. There are a number of ways to grow on your own.
    1. These include reading a devotionals such as Portals of Prayer or Our Daily Bread or I Want to Live These Days With You: A Year of Daily Devotions by Dietrich Bonhoeffer.
    2. Consider buying Gospel Journaling and follow the Journaling Bible reading plan on page 1064. Or follow a different reading plan like one of these. And here’s a plan for reading through the Bible chronologically.
    3. If you're into technology consider downloading a YouVersion App to your smart phone and picking out a reading plan that works with your schedule.
    4. ESV Online has a number of great reading plans. They will even email readings to you.
    5. Want to grow deeper? You can even take some free seminary-level courses from Concordia Seminary online through iTunes.

5) SERVE
As a new Christian church we need your help in a number of areas. Setup/breakdown. Music. Sunday School. You name it. We would love your help. Contact us and let us know how you'd like to help.
