WHAT TO EXPECT
ConnectingPoint is a place where we keep it simple. It’s relaxed but focused. We don’t need to be flashy or put on big productions for people to meet God. We follow a basic pattern of meeting together that is traced back to the early Church. We sing for roughly 25 minutes. We pray; we even have silence to help us reflect upon God's grace. We receive the Lord's Supper together, sharing the body and blood of Jesus as his forgiven family. Kids receive a fun, interactive kids message. We teach from the Bible for about 30 minutes. We believe that families should worship together. Therefore, the children are involved in the praise and worship time before the message and then have the opportunity to experience a teaching that meets their needs. We'd love to have you join us.
KIDS & YOUTH
We have a very good approach to children and youth ministry. Our approach to children and youth ministry is based on multi-year research on how to develop faith that grows and continues to grow beyond the college years. Our comprehensive teaching model is aimed at the head, heart and hands of the students with the aim of lifelong faith and service. It's an approach based on growing faith that lasts and transforms lives with the Gospel.
1st - 5th grade. Junior Church is a place where children come to learn about God and Jesus as their Savior. Children are growing in Christian love and responsibility in relationships with others. We teach concepts of basic Christian beliefs and everyday life. More than 150 lessons are spread out over 3 years making learning about God’s Word relevant and fun. As a part of each session, we provide for you a 20-minute Family Devotion to help you process and apply what was learned at Junior Church. Your child will also receive a some fun activities and great Bible applications for them to use during the week to equip them as followers of Jesus. 6th grade - 8th grade. Many pre-teens and teenagers experience a rocky transition into and through the junior high years. Bodies are changing, friendships are evolving, emotions are fluctuating, and questions are growing. During the adolescent years students are learning to show Christian love in everyday life and develop healthy attitudes toward self. We teach our pre-teens and teens to accept responsibility for loving and serving others. We strengthen learning to make life decisions on the basis of Christian values. 9th - 12th grade. High school is an exciting time to live and learn more about the Lord. We partner with area churches for an awesome senior high youth group that meets monthly as well as provide opportunities for national and international mission trips. BIBLE CAMP
Students in 4th grade - 12th grade have the opportunity to go on youth group activities and retreats throughout the year. Youth also are welcome to go to Pinehore Summer Bible Camp in nearby Westminster, MA (1 hour from Marlborough, MA).
