We live in a hyper-busy Bostonian culture that is suspicious of commitment to anyone or anything. We are pulled in a thousand directions. We often jump from one thing to the next and this is taking a toll on our lives. Many of us are seeking something life-giving, rather than energy draining. Many Bostonians are seeking something more simple, authentic and grounded.

Jesus shows us better way to experience an abundant life (John 10:10). Our spiritual formation process is patterned after the way Jesus lived. When we look at the life of Christ, we can see that He spent time alone in solitude and prayer. He met regularly with a small group of followers and taught them about life in the Kingdom of God. Jesus blessed thousands around Him in the community around Him.

As a community church, we encourage each of us to take part in a rhythm of life that encourages our spiritual formation and development both personally and in community.*

Discipleship. Spiritual formation is a life-long process of following Jesus as we engage in the Scriptures and prayer. As a community we have several small groups and online resources to help our spiritual growth. We also have people to help you in your journey.

Community. We can do more together than we can alone. This rhythm of life helps us bless others in community and commit to each other the mission of God. We have several communities for you. We encourage you to get involved and participate in a community.

Worship. Our community church is designed for participation rather than passive consumption. Worship is not simply personal, but it communal with other believers. You are invited to be a part of our community.

* To better understand this type of spiritual formation process, we recommend, Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s book, “Life Together“.
